Bossa nova is without a doubt the best known expression of Brazilian music in the world and that is why we are proud to have in our program this show that promises to make Rio a meeting point for great national and international artists. The Rio Bossa Festival will enter the city's calendar as an important manifestation of our culture, combined with the beautiful landscapes that so inspired composers such as João Gilberto and Tom Jobim. The concerts will be mostly outdoors and will feature important names in MPB, as well as national and international vocal and instrumental jazz artists, all with original arrangements accompanied by the Rio Sinfônica Orchestra.
